Hello!

When I try to start VSK 5, the game goes black and "please wait" appears and the game freezes. I have somehow managed to get into the game a couple of times, but 9/10 times the game freezes.

I have tried everything you can think of:
Reinstalled/updated gfx driver
Reinstalled/updated directX
Reinstalled the game
Tried different graphic settings (resolution, windowedmode, Low on everything)
Did the DirectX test in dxdiag, and deactivate/reactivated direct3d.
Disable sound
Checked/unchecked "use Local adress" in Advanced -> network

I also applied the patch.

Im out of ideas now.
I've send a mail to the technical department, but they refuse to answer.

System specs:
OS: XP
Intel P4 2GHz
512MB memory
Geforce4 Ti 4600 128MB

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

This is caused by your antivirus software. For some reason, you have to manually allow the internet connection, every time you launch the game.

So, you have to go to the "application control" menu (something like that, i can't remember exactly) of your AV software and remove all entries regarding to the game. Then, when you launch the game, it'll ask if you want it to connect to the internet.

You must not check the "remember this decision" box, instead, just click allow and it should work.

These damn Nadeo games do not allow the computer to automatically connect 'em to the internet Cool

Regards,

Korhonen

Applications that automatically modify your computers security settings to allow them to automatically connect to the internet have a special name - they are usually called a virus !!!
