Bonjour,

je suis à la recherches des programmes qui permettent de créer de nouveaux bateaux (pas des skins, des nouvelles coques et voiles).
Si vous savez avec quoi cela s'effectue, merci de me l'indiquer

si tu parles anglais, j ai ecrit un sujet pour faire des nouveaux bateaux.
Avec des programmes non-commerciales.

et
Blender

Mais l'extraction de Blender en format 3DS n'est pas possible - en moment.
Je travaille encore....

are your programms can open and save GBX files ? it's should be interesting to see what's into...

No...

the development strategy (for custom boats) is normally:

1. Delftship/freeship : modelling the hull/deck - as much as possible

2. Exporting as i.e. obj.-file (wavefront)

3. Importing into a 3D modelling program (3DS MAX or CINEMA 4D)

4. Fine tuning on the modell and naming the objects like NADEO requires (see point 6)

5. Exporting in a 3DS-file (propietary AUTODESK/3DS MAX file format, no file format specification is published Triste )

6. The BOATIMPORTER tool from NADEO can process this 3DS file + a Boatparameter.xml file (and some text file with boatname etc.) and creates the GBX files.
(BOATIMPORTER you can get here in the modelling section incl. sample files with an explanation about the xml file etc. - all included in the Boatimporter ZIP-file)

3DS MAX and CINEMA 4D (I do not know if the 3DS export from CINEMA 4D works) cost a hell of money x.000 EUR - afaik. I tried BLENDER (a free tool) , but the 3DS export from BLENDER can't be processed by the Boatimporter.

I am still looking for a workaround.....
In the english modelling section here you will find more info about my try to do modelling with free tools...
