You know the F5, F6, F7's that appear alongside the multiplayer race details? What exactly do they mean?

Yes this is the force (Beaufort) of the wind.
F4: 12 to 15 Knots
F5: 16 to 20 Knots
F6: 21 to 25 Knots
F7: 25 to 30 Knots
This is for the game.

Thank you, sir. Another mystery solved.
Now how do I sail really fast and win races?

Initially the problem is boatspeed but to win races you have to zigzag your way up & down the course with the zigs & the zags in all the right places.

So some courses have areas where the wind is a different direcion or strength and also sometimes there is a tidal current to help/hinder you which varies depending on where you are.

Also when the wind direction changes, you need to tack to make sure you are taking the shortest route.

Basically look at the faster boats & copy their movements till you are confident about making your own decisions!
