Ptero, congratulations on a very well implemented website. I am particularly impressed by the ability to open an enlarged map to view the prevailing wind direction at each point along the race course.

Well done!

You may have some ideas to add to this description of an idea I have for VSK. At that wiki I do not have PHP scripting capability like you do at your website so maybe you can imagine alternate ways of achieving a similar result if a website such as yours was to host that idea.

Great work, and a cool site.

Any chance of any non F6/F7 tracks? I prefer to have to think instead of just automatically tack on every shift.

I would love to knock the wind down. I agree with you. I'll move in that direction. Thanks for the complements on the site.

One of the things I am getting out of all this data is skipper results, trends, return visits and dnf tracking.

I am working on the user authentication now.

Do you think any host would be interested in a section to add their own tracks and upload their results?

Thanks I appreciate the feedback.
I had not read the post on the wiki until now, but it looks I accomplished a good portion of it. The back end is a three click process to upload the results. csv. I usually have that done before before the next track intro is done.
I have a text field for notes on a particular race but don't show that now. I also have a similar filed for the track record.
I can easily add fields for boat, wind, upload and link to the track and replay gbx files for general consumption.
As far as the wiki is concerned, I can present all this data in xml can the wiki accept an rss feed?
I have a good head of steam on this now and I am on a roll so it's a great time to implement suggestions.

Yes.

Have you spoken with Goeran (Lazy.se)? He has done a lot of work at vsk-nordic related to skipper's DNF rates - they have a world wide skipper ranking on vsk-nordic based on his batabase, which is based on his server and the results sent to him from many other players.

Hi Alinoa

The data presented by:

http://scripts.ac32.virtualskipper.com/getRankings.php?start=1&size=100

i s broken again and has been for a few weeks now.

I beleive the cuprit is number 5 as this:

http://scripts.ac32.virtualskipper.com/getRankings.php?start=4&size=100

produces errors at that point
