Whenever I start a race, the textures of buildings and non-competing ships all look faded, like they're overlaid by veils. On rare occasions, the textures appear as intended. I'm running the most recent NVidia drivers.
I have noticed that when I run the game in NVidia 3D, one eye's image appears with textures, while the other eye's image shows the veiled textures. I normally don't run the game in 3D, but even in 2D the texture problems are still there as I described at the beginning.
Has anyone else ever encountered this or have any advice on how to fix it?
I would post a screenshot, but I haven't figured out how to take one yet. |

The game is not designed to support NVidia 3D as far as I know and so you will get that effect. I would suggest that even in 2D you need to turn off some other NVidia feature which is effecting the images - run your graphics environment in its most basic form.
Just keep dumbing it down until you have the right look. |

How are you updating the graphics drivers? With Windows Update or are you downloading the drivers directly from nVidia? What graphics card do you have? _________________ In theory there is no difference between theory and practice, but in practice there is. |

I download the latest graphics drivers from Sony's VAIO driver page. My graphics card is an NVidia GeForce GT 540M. |

I think I have the solution. Configure your graphics in advance setings to PC2. put your glasses and you will enjoy 3d gaming.! for me works great. otherwise, go to nvidia contol panel and in setup stereoscopic 3d, disable 3D completely. there U can enjoy VSK 5 in full graphics, in2D.
hope it works.
I have Vaio vpcf2190x , win 7 64 prof. |

That wound up fixing the problem. I just have to go into the overall graphics control panel and enable/disable the 3D function depending on the game. Thanks. |

For those who has no 3d capable display panel but use nVidia GPU.
3D drivers are automatically installed within nVidia drivers pack.
By default when standard installation option is choosen,
The point is for most of people this is not only completely useless feature but also your game might be badly impacted. I mean a game performance overall. I do believe that disabling 3d drivers gets you better frame rate performance in some games. For instance applying such trick in game "Shift 2 Unleashed" I can even get 8-10 FPS more.Tested thoroughly by Fraps to make sure it works.(For Shift 2 game)
Not sure if it works for VSK since I use V-Sync and no need it for VSK. _________________ StormIX |
