Recently, more and more users of our sites (unfortunately, people with long militancy in VSK too ) create multiple accounts to soil the forums with stupid diatribes and provocations.

Who, like me, does not like to close the door to anyone or make private clubs, this is a big limitation.

I asked Cerovan if Nadeo has a tool for checking the existence of a particular account VSK. This would allow us to open certain levels of forums only to those who really racing or who, however, has a valid account.

Unfortunately Cerovan me that this tool does not exist.

But it is also true that, having available the database of the game, it should not be so difficult to do ... is basically a simple query.
It would be sufficient to build a small form l, with access granted to accredited webmasters where they can send a hypothetical account and have an answer: this account EXISTS, or this account does NOT EXISTS.

The privacy would be respected (even if it does not matter since accounts also appear in the result file), and the same control over the abuse would be much simpler.
I do not think a mountain euros needed for this small application

Chi, come me, non ama chiudere le porta a chicchessia o fare Club privati, questa è una grossa limitazione.

Ho chiesto a Cerovan se Nadeo ha un tool per controllare la esistenza di un determinato account VSK. Questo ci potrebbe permettere di aprire certi livelli di forum SOLO a chi regata veramente o a chi , comunque, ha un account valido.

Purtroppo Cerovan mi ha comunicato che questo tool non esiste.

Ma è anche vero che , avendo a disposizione il database del gioco, non dovrebbe essere così difficile realizzarlo ... in fondo è una semplice query.
Sarebbe sufficiente un piccolo form , autorizzato ai webmaster accreditati, dove poter inviare un ipotetico account ed avere come risposta : SI questo account ESISTE , oppure NO questo account NON esiste.

La privacy sarebbe rispettata ( anche se poi poco importa dato che gli account compaiono anche nei file risultato ) , e lo stesso controllo sugli abusi sarebbe molto più semplice.
Non credo servano una montagna di euro per questa piccola applicazione

Hello Pino

You have a simple method at hand, the xml list of user details that are supplied from nadeo has the username/boatname pairs that each user has. Add two custom fields to your database (username/boatname) for the new member to fill in and then compare them to the xml list. It is not foolprooof but will give you a check on potential members.

Keith - I think that list gives info about VSK users online at the time.

I think Pino wants a list of all users who have been active at any time.

Hi Sandy,

I see where the confusion lies now.

Nadeo supply 3 xml files, the one that you have in mind is "getPlayersOnline.php" but there is also "getServersOnline.php" and, the one that I am speaking of, "getRankings.php" which is a list off all players with data.

When I look at the getRankings.php from Nadeo, I only see the top 100.

Are you seeing every user there Keith (all 200,000) ?

As you can see here:

it is possible to get the 'complete' list.

The query is using an additional parameter for the rankings.php.
Unfortunately meanwhile <i changed my email programm and I do not have the correct parameter anymore...or syntax.
I am sure Diades could tell...

With a small script it should be possible to have a list of all active players.

Yes guys, all members.

Joerg is correct, you connect to the nadeo server and download the records as xml 500 (up to) records at a time. So to get them all, just loop the request and store them in an array or object; then manipulate them at server level to present them or use them as you require.

That link to my page allows you to view all members by using the arrow buttons and also to start from the end of the list or the start..
