I ordered Sail sim 5 and wanted to see if this was worth getting too I also am checking out Vehical sim.

I installed the demo. Says it's updated, and says it's Virtual Skipper 3
I've tried several logical options in configure along with "best" graphics and normal, and I have same problem.

Problem is - when I click PLAY (the pop up closes) and nothing ever happens.

I have DX11 (enabled) Cre 2 2.40ghz 2 cpus
4096 MB ram
windows 7 pro 32 bit 61 tuild 7601

What's more - Sail sim (demo) and Vehical simulator (demo)
both run fine, no problems. (they require same setup and hardware for the most part I assume).

I am running dual monitors with a Nvidia GTX9800+
I'll try a re-install while waiting for a reply here.

I saw in another topic - it said click exe of game, not Launcher
This shows me a different pop up with error.

says An error encountered.

an unexpected error encountered while opening protection drivers. Error code 1275 ?

VSK3 is very (very) old. Why not try out the free version of VSK5?

Oh i thought 3 wasmlatest. Ive not been able to downloadmit from oThermlinks. So i pulled it from c/net. Else other links abort after a while. Ill try you link... Thnx

Yah that s the one ive tried many times. Any other place to download it? Like off a ftp site? Also the game says 5... The demo doesnt say what version, so when i found 3 on c/net i assumed it was latest... Ill keep trying and will update how it works out.

Tried 5 more times. Gets to 17% or less and stops.

Found it on another site (so it says many of those file sites are scams) it made me install a downloadMR util, it's loaded with ads and bars and crap I don't want. It's now been stuck at 2% for the past 10 minutes.

No VSK for me it appears.
win7 download "resume" restarted from beginning. (ftp) option would be really nice. Until then, I'm out.

Any download site that requires you to install a download manager is definitely a scam... try to get rid of that ASAP.

The best place to download the game is directly from Nadeo http://files.virtualskipper5.com/Vsk5Online_setup.exe, but whereever you download it from the file should always be called Vsk5Online_setup.exe

You might also try using a different web browser for the download and disabling your virus scanner.

Finally, where are you located? Some people in South America have had problems in the past.

The virtualskipper.com. Link doesn't work for me... Aborts after a short while

I've downloaded and tried. Virtual sailor. (not good)
And vehicle simulator. (not ready for prime time) does everything, but nothing great.

Love sail sim5... Loved demo so ordered it and it came today. Only missing. Track IR. support.... Bummer, anxious to try virtual skipper... The youtube movies look good, except the way the boats. Track in the water and turns look like they need improvement. But i'd still like to see for myself.

I removed the login details from your above post. You should change the password for that account ASAP before someone uses it to host a kiddie porn site or some griefer deletes all your files. Lord knows how many bots have harvested the details by now.

But, what web browser are you using? I'm in New York and downloaded the demo in a little over 7 minutes using Firefox.

However, you should find the file on your FTP server in ~20 minutes from now.

Im using ie... I don't think i have fire fox any more. But i don't think it's. Brower issue, the download is passed to win 7. That then handles it in the download files,listing.

Im also limited to 3g... I live on a lake in the woods and i can't get anything more stable here. Though usually i can down loadmpretty well.

The reason i ask, how much... Where to buy is because the full version link on the US. .com links to a French page i can't read? Also since i can't download the demo, i most likely can't download the full game. Is there ambuy that unlocks the demo you ftp,ed to me? Gonna gomtry and pull it from my ftp site now. Thnx again!

No hadnt seen that page thanks. You guys are great and helpful. I can't find any signs of friendly life in the other sail sim forums.

I was at my daughters tonight. They have cable. Again the link fromstentec. Bombed even for them. It also started as a 1. Hour download.

Seemed strange. After it bombed part way downloaded. I then tried it from there house, but off my ftp site. It took 11 minutes and finallly i think i have it. I copied it to a mem card and will install on my pc in the morning to check it out.

On ipad sorry for crytic text. Hard to type. Ttl
